Intention

Christmas and New Years has been and gone, taking its own time, setting its own schedule of dinners and drinks with old friends and new, and visits with family.

I’ve had a particularly good time. I’m sun blitzed and happy, feeling loved, and am swimming in the good vibes as much as I can. (I’m also swimming — period — as much as I can).

The new year is here and I feel the pull to write some kind of declarative post, set out some big set of goals, outline the plan for the new me, etc.

There are things I want to do this year.

But for now I want to offer a big fat thank you to 2015, and to everyone who was in it with me. I wasn’t always a good person, or a person with clear goals and ambitions. But I was a little braver than I’ve been in a while, a little calmer.

Some highlights? Breaking through my own boundaries — namely: Traveling through Italy on my own and meeting a tribe of powerful new friends and co-conspirators. Reconnecting with someone I care deeply about and making peace with the past. Being calmer at work. Diving again. Writing again. Growing a capsicum that looks like a capsicum.

This year my goals are pretty simple (as they should be every day and every month and every decade). I want to be a better person. I want to look after myself much better than I did last year. I want to be clear minded and energetic and purposeful, and honest.

I also want to lose 10 kilos find a life partner publish my book have lots of wonderful sex and get a house with chickens in the back yard.

Whatever is ahead, I have great people around me, and a healthy body to take me through the world. For those very precious gifts, I am grateful.

So that’s it.

Happy 2016!
